LEMUR
Approximately 7’ X 4’ X 4’
A collaboration created by Buck and Darby Holm, this large scale and life like sculpture houses multiple functioning parts. The tips of the bamboo are dry pieces. The large stalk of bamboo in the front is a water piece. The lemur itself is a functioning piece utilizing its entire body as air travels in through the hips and down the spine and under the head where it percolates through the water filled skull. It then travels up the second spine tube, around the bowl, up the tail – which is removable to expose a mouthpiece. The lemur itself is removable from the installation and is designed to sit on the users arm when in use.
The 100 rocks (not photographed are each functioning dry pieces as well.
